Bereavement

Losing someone you care about can have a devastating and lasting impact. There is help available, and you do not need to do it alone. Our resource has information and links to support services. There is also practical information about what to do and who to contact when someone has died.

A note on language; throughout this resource we refer to ‘the person who has died.’ This may seem like a cold term to use but we want to recognise that the person’s death will impact on family, friends, colleagues and those who knew the person and we wanted our language to be as inclusive as possible. Bereavement affects everyone at some time in their life. We hope that this resource can be of use to many, no matter how they're connected to the person who has died.
