Riverside Care Home is a registered local authority residential care home service
Riverside provides a high quality living environment centered around the individual needs of residents. The care home has been created in consultation with the people who will live, visit and work there to ensure that older people feel comfortable, relaxed and safe, and that they enjoy a sense of community. Riverside also provides specialist care for people who are living with dementia. You can read more information in the Riverside Care Home Leaflet.
Riverside Care Home has eight units, which have been named after emblems of the Commonwealth Countries.
Every room has a bedside table, dressing table/desk, fridge and wardrobe. There is also a phone which will enable you to receive and make calls from the comfort of your room.
You will also find a computer line and a wall mounted flat screen television, which comes complete with freeview and the facility to purchase subscription channels on demand.
Senior social care workers oversee each of the units at Riverside Care Home, and staff work on a rota system so that there is always a senior worker on duty 24 hours a day.
Social events and activities
Riverside Care Home has a wide and varied programme of social events and activities, determined by residents with support from our full time Activity Coordinator.
There is a cinema room with a large screen, comfortable arm chairs and views over the secure garden area.
Our social events and activities at Riverside will include cinema nights, visiting entertainers, keep fit, a variety of games and out-door activities and will be based on what residents want to do.
Riverside Care Home will also host social nights on a regular basis and the frequency and entertainment will be based on residents’ preferences.
