Service summary

Our Children and Families Service is based on referrals from Glasgow City Council Social Work who have identified families who may need extra help and support in their day-to-day lives. This service is provided by a team of skilled child support workers who are trained to a very high standard.
Partnership working and communication with families is key in creating a bespoke personal support plan, taking into consideration the needs of the family along with their aspirations and long-term goals.
The Children and Families Service staff take a holistic approach when working with a family group, and can provide anything from befriending and parental support, to healthy lifestyle advice and community involvement support.
