Birdston Nursing Home provides care for the older person with mental health needs, and also people with organic mental health problems under and over 65.
Birdston Nursing Home is a specialist nursing home which provides care to the older person with a variety of mental health illnesses and many types of dementia. All bedrooms are en-suite with a choice of bath or shower. Some bedrooms have patio doors to the internal garden areas.
Our staff have a positive, forward thinking work ethic which cascades throughout all departments, resulting in the delivery of skilled, relevant care. This ethos enables our residents to lead a happy, fulfilled and diverse life.
As a purpose built nursing home there are many personal and communal spaces available, in addition to a variety of safe landscaped gardens affording beautiful views of the Campsie Fells.
A variety of activities are provided for both therapeutic and fun purposes. Assessments are carried out to establish what is suitable for each individual, taking preferences and capabilities into account. Both one-to-one and group activities take place.
Daily stimulation is paramount to our resident's well-being for pleasure, fun and their independence, helping them achieve their maximum potential.
