Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership Health Improvement Teams work in partnership with a wide range of partner agencies e.g. education services, youth organisations, housing providers and Third Sector organisations in Glasgow to support health improvement work to improve the health of local residents. This can take the form of support services, health programmes, training, policy & practice support and facilitation of partnership working.

Services include: Stop Smoking

Giving up smoking is not something you have to do on your own - there's a free NHS stop smoking service available locally to help you succeed. This may include access to free treatments, including nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) or Champix.

Smokefree Hospitals (Mental Health Hospitals) - the service is delivered on a one- to-one basis and is open to both staff and patients. Contact them on 0141 211 6564.

Services include: Weigh To Go Free Weight Management Programme 

Weigh to Go is a free service for young people aged 12-18 yrs who are overweightand want to lose or manage their weight.

It incorporates ongoing support from Youth Health Service nurses, and weight man- agement services including Scottish Slimmers, Weight Watchers and Slimming World.

The programme aims to promote healthy sustainable and successful weight loss,
increase physical activity and improve confidence and self esteem.
