Scotland has the second highest level of obesity in the developed world and, in Glasgow alone, 60% of adults and 20% of pre-school children are either overweight or obese.

NHS Choices is a website created by the NHS which provides information and advice to help people to live healthier lives. The website has a Live Well section which features interactive tools that allow you to test how healthy your diet is and if you are exercising as much as you should be. It also has a meal planner that helps you to incorporate more fruit and vegetables into your diet.

The Scottish Government has developed a website called Take Life On which is aimed at encouraging people to eat a healthier diet. Take Life On gives advice about how to improve your eating habits and provides simple meals ideas and recipes that can assist you to do so.
