Day care
Day care services are involved in providing services which support people to increase their quality of life while living at home. Day Care centres give people the opportunity to socialise with other people in their local community, take part in activities and continue to pursue their hobbies and interests.
Day Care centres provide organised activities as well as hot drinks and meals and provide a setting which promotes social activity and entertainment. There are also specialist day care centres which are specifically designed for people with dementia. These centres provide support in a group setting; however individual support is also available.

Lunch clubs are run by volunteers and also provide a way for people to socialise with others in their local community. These clubs provide hot meals in an environment which encourages social interaction and entertainment.
