2018 Suicide Prevention Week

Each year we hold events to mark World Suicide Prevention day on 10th September as well as National Suicide Prevention Week. Further information about how to get involved in your area will appear here nearer the date. 

Find out about this year's events in the full Programme of events which include:

  • The Celebration of Life Event on the 10th September in the Tranquility Garden, Campbell House, Gartnavel Royal, 1055 Great Western Road, GLASGOW, G12 0XH. 

As part of our National Suicide Prevention Week activities, there will also be a suicide prevention awareness session for the public on the evening of September 13. 

World Mental Health Day

This Awareness Day takes places each year on 10th October.

Forums

The Glasgow City Choose Life group and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS have created local area forums to help communities tackle suicide prevention locally. They are open to anyone with an interest in preventing suicide in the city. Free tea and coffee are normally available.
