Training opportunities in suicide prevention

Glasgow City is part of the national suicide prevention programme and action plan, to reduce and prevent suicide in Scotland. The training we promote in Glasgow is SafeTALK, ASIST and SuicideTALK. There are now a number of SafeTALK, ASIST and SuicideTALK sessions that are accessible to staff.

Free learning opportunities: NHSGGC and SAMH Mental Health Sessions 2023

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) Mental Health Improvement Contract Working Group are continuing their work in partnership with Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) to deliver a program of learning with a focus on mental health and suicide prevention.

The program on offer includes a variety of online learning sessions, lasting 90 minutes being delivered using MS Teams and Zoom.
